Comfort is clinical
How an appointment feels decides whether a patient returns, which makes comfort part of the treatment, not a nicety. Blankets, headphones, an honoured stop signal and sedation are all on the menu.
Twenty years of dentistry, three continents of training, and a practice built around the idea that no appointment should feel rushed.
Her story
Dr. Harshdeep Sohi is a dentist of more than twenty years' standing, and Monaco Dentistry is the practice she built to work the way she believes dentistry should. She graduated with top honours from dental school in India in 2005, then moved to England and practised in London for over three years with a focus on cosmetic dentistry, collecting a number of awards for clinical excellence and patient care along the way.
For the past eleven years she has looked after patients across British Columbia's Lower Mainland. She treats every patient like family, listening first, explaining properly, and building treatment plans around each person's own goals rather than a template. She believes informed patients make the best decisions, and that no appointment should feel rushed.
She is known for a gentle touch, and she has earned the trust of a great many people who once struggled with dental anxiety. The compliment she hears most often is how comfortable and virtually pain-free her local anaesthetic injections are.
How we work
How an appointment feels decides whether a patient returns, which makes comfort part of the treatment, not a nicety. Blankets, headphones, an honoured stop signal and sedation are all on the menu.
Nothing happens that has not been shown, explained and costed in writing. Informed patients make better decisions, and they are far less anxious in the chair.
The least invasive option that genuinely solves the problem, every time. Enamel you keep is enamel that lasts, and we would rather monitor than over-treat.
Four languages spoken, unhurried appointments, and honest answers, including when the answer is that you do not need anything doing.
Clinical philosophy
Dr. Sohi enjoys every part of dentistry, from preventive and restorative care through to surgical extractions, gum grafting, dental implants and cosmetic work. She is committed to treatment that lasts, and she continues to expand her knowledge through hundreds of hours of continuing education, which is how the practice stays current with modern dental care.
Whenever she is not in the office or with her husband and teenage son, you will find her travelling within Canada and abroad to attend clinical masterclasses that sharpen her expertise and, in turn, the outcomes her patients get. As a long-standing member of several ongoing dental study clubs, she collaborates regularly with peers to master advanced techniques.
What every appointment includes
Dr. Sohi invests in equipment for one reason: it changes what she can see, and what she can see decides how well she can treat you. A Dentsply Sirona cone beam scanner gives a full 3D view of the jaw before an implant is planned. Digital X-rays cut radiation by up to 90%. Primescan and iTero replace impression trays with a scan that takes minutes. Intraoral cameras put the problem on a screen in front of you, and transillumination finds cracks an X-ray cannot show.
See the technology we haveComfort is part of the treatment here, not a nicety. How an appointment feels is what decides whether you come back for the next one, so we keep a menu and you choose from it: a neck pillow, a warm blanket, noise-cancelling headphones, Netflix on the room screen, something to fidget with, a cooling neck fan, a charger. Every treatment room is closed and private. All of it is included, and you can ask at any point, including after we have started.

Patient stories
“I had not seen a dentist in six years because of one bad experience. Dr. Sohi never made me feel bad about it. She made a plan and worked through it with me. The freezing genuinely did not hurt, which I did not think was possible.”
“Booked one checkup for myself and ended up moving the whole family across. Everything is explained, nothing is pushed, and the office is calmer than any dental practice I have been in.”
“I wanted my front teeth improved without it being obvious that I had anything done. That is exactly what I got, and being able to speak Punjabi with the team made the whole thing easier for my mother too.”

Gentle technique. The most common compliment she receives is how comfortable and virtually pain-free her local anaesthetic injections are, which is why many of her patients are people who previously avoided dental care altogether.
