CDCP & Insurance

Monaco Dentistry is a Canadian Dental Care Plan provider and works with most extended health plans, with costs confirmed in writing before treatment starts.

Overview

CDCP & Insurance at Monaco Dentistry

Cost is the second most common reason people delay dental care, after fear, and it is far easier to solve. Monaco Dentistry is a Canadian Dental Care Plan provider, works with most extended health plans, and will not begin treatment you have not seen a written estimate for. If a plan you have does not cover something, you will hear that from us before the appointment rather than from a bill afterwards.

Why it matters

What cdcp & insurance gives you.

A CDCP provider

We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Bring your CDCP details and we will confirm what your coverage includes.

Most extended health plans accepted

We work with the major carriers and direct-bill wherever the plan permits it.

Written estimates first

A pre-treatment estimate showing what your plan is expected to cover and what is left to you.

Sequenced by urgency

Where a full plan is not affordable now, we order it so that what matters clinically happens first.

How it works

What to expect, step by step.

  1. Bring your details

Your CDCP information or policy details at the first visit, and our team does the checking.

  2. Coverage confirmed

We establish what is covered, at what percentage, and what any annual maximum leaves available.

  3. A written estimate

An itemised plan showing the expected insurer portion and your portion, before anything is booked.

  4. We handle the claim

Direct billing where the plan allows, and predeterminations submitted for larger treatment.

Who it's for

Is this you?

Patients newly eligible for the CDCP, families with workplace benefits, patients between plans, and anyone who has avoided the dentist because they did not know what it would cost.

Patient stories

What patients say.

“I qualified for the CDCP and had no idea what it covered. The front desk worked it out with me and I knew my exact cost before agreeing to anything.”
Joanne F. · White Rock
“No surprises on the bill, which after my last dentist was the thing I cared about most.”
Hassan Q. · Surrey

Questions

CDCP & Insurance: your questions answered.

Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

Yes. Monaco Dentistry is a CDCP provider. Bring your CDCP details to your first visit and our team will confirm which services are covered for you and at what level, before treatment is planned.

Does the CDCP cover everything?

No plan does. The CDCP covers a defined range of services at set amounts, and there can be a co-payment depending on your household income. We will always tell you in advance where a recommended treatment falls outside coverage so you can decide with the numbers in front of you.

Do you direct-bill my insurance?

We direct-bill wherever your plan permits it, so you generally pay only your portion at the appointment. Some plans reimburse the patient directly, and we will tell you which yours is before treatment.

What if I have no insurance at all?

You are still welcome, and plenty of our patients are in that position. You get the same written estimate, and we will sequence treatment so the clinically urgent work happens first and the optional work waits until it suits you.
