How long does it take to get used to a new denture?
Two to four weeks for most people, and speech usually settles before eating does. Sore spots in the first fortnight are normal and are exactly what the adjustment appointments are for, so do not endure them.
My denture moves when I eat. Can that be fixed?
Often, yes. Sometimes a reline restores the fit; sometimes the shape or bite was wrong from the start. For lower dentures, where movement is most common, two to four implants convert it into something that stays where you put it.
Will people be able to tell?
Not if the tooth shape, shade and gum contour are chosen properly. Dentures look artificial when the teeth are too even, too white and too uniform for the wearer's age, which is a design decision, not an inevitability.
Do you make partial dentures without visible metal clasps?
Yes. Flexible and tooth-coloured clasp options avoid the metal show at the front. We will explain the trade-offs in strength and longevity so you choose with the facts.
